Pianists selected to compete in The 2nd Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition

Video recordings from 100 applicants from 31 countries were reviewed, including 33 from Russia, 7 from the USA, 6 from Japan, 5 from China, 4 from Germany, 4 from South Korea, 4 from Belorussia, 3 from Bulgaria, 3 from Canada, 2 from each of France, the UK, Croatia, Ukraine, Finland, Greece, Italy, Estonia and Israel and 1 from each of Turkey, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Peru, New Zealand, Egypt, Norway, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Netherlands, Brazil and Hong Kong (PRC).
In addition, 11 applications were discarded due to breaches of the rules of the Competition.
